It is magical to remember how God weaved things to perfectly make us meet. Eve and I had never known each other, leave alone ever being friends. I had only seen her once in October 2024 but unfortunately, she never saw me that day. I only managed to see her through a friend we shared, she had visited her at work and I happened to pick the friend from there. That's when my eye stole a glimpse of her.
I didn't imagine that I would ever see her again because I was living in Embu while she was in Kikuyu.
Falling in Love
I took a job offer and moved from Embu to Kikuyu in 2025. It happened that Eve and I were now church mates but we never met until her close friend introduced her to me in February 2025. We had a short-lived conversation about serving in music, then everything went silent.
God's providence, she resurfaced towards the end of April with a request to join my guitar classes. It was then that I discovered how passionate she was about music. More followed after realizing that she really loves this art of mine. I resolved in my heart to teach her the guitar until death do us part.
The Engagement
On saying YES to dating, we never rushed to engagement. We spent a considerable time going out and sharing conversations in order to bond and know each other well.
On the 14th day of June 2026, I went down to my knees with the pertinent question and she gave a resounding "YES".
This strengthened our relationship even more and our wedding plans began taking shape with greater certainty. Praise the Lord!
